Our Verdict

Smidge’s Smidge Insect Repellent Spray has been on the market for years due simply to the fact that it works pretty well. There is no guaranteed, full protection from biting insects but Smidge has built a reputation of doing a good job of it. The DEET free ingredients are a big bonus and I’ve always found that it does a decent job of keeping the majority of midges away when I have the misfortune of being swarmed by them in Scotland. The smell, taste and feel of this formula works well when compared to many other competitors but as with anything this is not necessarily going to work for everyone.
