Our Verdict

MPOWERD’s Luci Outdoor 2.0 Inflatable Solar Light is fully waterproof, surprisingly robust and very practical. The super lightweight nature of this means it’s a perfect lantern for camp and it is robust so you don’t need to worry about it getting shoved into your pack or damaged in use. The full charge takes 7 hours but in reality a couple of hours in daylight will provide a decent amount of light. The solar panel is on the bottom of the light and it has an adjustable strap which is great for hanging up and for sliding a strap through so you can hang it on the outside of your pack to charge up as you go and since it’s fully waterproof, the weather is not an issue.

The light has 4 settings with low, medium, high and one second flashing light giving you plenty of options depending on what you’re using it for. The ten LED lights provide a very good amount of light capable of illuminating any tent, bothy or camp area. There are two buttons on the bottom of the light, one to control the settings and the other is for the battery level indicator. It is easy to inflate and deflate with the simple valve making it quick and easy to use at any point. On the low setting the battery will last for up to 24 hours so it is easy to top up the charge when you’re just using it on an evening.
