In order to perform during challenging conditions you have to make sure your diet is well balanced, with a sufficient amount of carbs, fat and protein. REAL Field Meal is made by a skillful team of chefs, securing you a nutritious and lightweight meal – easy to prepare and rich in natural flavour.
Preparation: Tear off the top of the bag at the indentation. Add warm water (2,6 dl) up to the level marker. Stir well, close the bag using the ziplock and let the dish rest for 3 minutes.
Our Verdict
Real Turmat has designed a wide range of meals that are tasty, light-weight and aimed at everyone and for any kind of outdoor activity. With a good balance of weight, calories and taste the range has been very popular. The range uses a unique drying process that removes only the water from the original dish. This secures a nutritious and lightweight meal – really easy to prepare without removing any of the flavour.
There are also the ‘Field Meal’ range which are designed for a balanced diet, developed for personnel in challenging situations. They generally have more calories included to help replace those used on longer or more challenging adventures.
TASTE TEST – 417kcals, it says add hot or cold water so did it with cold and it reconstituted very well, I like muesli so I liked this, kept stirring it and the fruit was well distributed all the way through. 9/10, loses a point for the instructions being poor and not easy to follow.
